You CALL THEM when you need the job done right, done efficiently, and done professionally. They show up when they say they will, you get a text with a picture and info about who's showing up. They are respectful of your home putting on shoe covers, every time. They explain thoroughly everything they see and what they are going to do. Plus, they don't make you feel bad when you ask a lot of questions or when you ask for them to explain things further. Furthermore, they put a guarantee on their work! Nick Baldini has come out to our home for 2 separate issues and he is Outstanding!!! Hawk came out aswell to assist on one of them I can't be more pleased with both of them. Ask for these guys, you won't be disappointed!

Austin Henderson was a technician who came to my home today. He was very professional and he provided me with clarity of the work that could be done. In addition to that, he provided me with a full range of services offered by Preferred Home Services. He also verified the pressure on my waterline and informed me that the regulator needed to be replaced. He provided me with a number of options, all of which I was grateful for. Should we choose to work with Preferred Home Services, I would welcome having Austin be the technician to do the work.

I've been a customer for a few years after bouncing around other providers. They consistently provide quality and professional experiences and I feel they genuinely have my best interest in mind. After a number of years avoiding the inevitable, we finally came to the point of needing a full unit replacement.

The installation process was seamless and clean, with overly tidy touches and thoughtfulness from the installation team such as rodent prevention guards that could have easily been overlooked. New system is operating as expected and I trust Preferred to maintain the system for years to come.

This is the 2nd time LB has come out to help diagnose/repair problems with our HVAC system. He’s knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. Each time he has offered a fair assessment of the problem and straight forward estimates for repair.

CHRIS HARBIT was an absolute GODSEND!! We’ve had a water leak for about 4 months I would say. We’ve had at least 5 people come out to assess it and told us it was a slab leak which would have cost us at minimum $8000. Chris came out and listened to our concerns and actually assessed the situation and found a leak in the INSIDE!!! This man fixed one leak and found another and this second one gave him some challenge but he never gave up and finally found a solution and it was fixed!!! I can’t tell you how relived and so full of gratitude I am. Thank you thank you so so much!!!

We had PHS install a backflow protector and dig a new drain field in our yard in December after our sewage backed up in our house from a blocked pipe somewhere in the line. The initial consult was fine and the techs showed up but the job was extremely rushed because the said they had to be at their next job. They completely destroyed our entire yard. They said they "were plumbers, not landscapers" which I get, BUT, we couldn't even open our fence because the dirt was a foot higher than it should be and our entire yard looks like a plowed field. We can't even walk through it without twisting an ankle. After asking them to do better, they agreed that it was a mess and they sent someone else back to try to do a better job at leveling the yard. Their "rushed fix" didn't actually "fix" anything. We now have a huge standing water issue and our yard is a lake that doesn't drain-all the way up to the walls of my house. We have NEVER had standing water issues and we've now gotten two quotes from other companies to try to repair the damage from PHS and it's going to cost us another 15k on top of the 10k that PHS charged us for the drain-field. We don't have that kind of money to fix something that should not have been broken to begin with. We're extremely frustrated with the whole experience and don't have a way to fix the issue without spending a fortune to install a massive French drain system, bring in top soil, level, and re-sod. What a disaster! We don't know what to do now.

The technician that came was Chris Crawford. I had exceptional service. The entire process of signing up for services and receiving them was second to none. I highly recommend this company to anyone, everyone has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had my water heater serviced, Chris took time to explain everything to me. Same day outstanding service of a tankless water heater

Jonathan was amazing. He went above and beyond to help me understand what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the issue. The price was acceptable, he was quick and kind.

Victor was very thorough with my plumbing inspection on 2/11/26. After reviewing his suggestions I replaced the rubber hoses on my washer and added a pressure regulating valve to keep my water pressure within a safe range. This was completed on 2/17 in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend Victor for plumbing needs.

I thought I was getting new vents with the duct work.. I thought it came with the ductwork.

Our Preferred Home Services Technician Nick did an outstanding job handling our plumbing issue! He was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and effective. His passion for his work was clear and his rates were very reasonable. Nick also went above and beyond, helping us find a clean out outside after the primary job inside was complete. Ola did a great job explaining what he would be doing and how the maintenance/repairs can enhance the performance of my older unit. I am trying to get the most years possible out of my existing unit. Ola was not pushy in trying to sell me a new unit, but worked with me to suggest several repairs/maintenance to the unit that will hopefully get me a few more years before replacement is needed. Prices are a little high. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

Accessed the situation and gave me my best option and that was to replace the water heater now before serious problems arose. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PREFERRED! You need a recommendation in the Greenville, SC area? Here goes!!! Before recently purchasing my house here in Greenville, the complete AC portion of the 30 year old HVAC system was replaced about 3 years ago including the flex vent attached to the rigid ducts and had a complete cleaning... But I recently found out the hard way on the morning of that cold January 25, 2026, Sunday, that the blower and heater strips were not - when the blower motor squealed and then died. It wasn't a circuit breaker issue. So, I opened the inside unit and found that the fan and motor was seized. No temporary fix and nothing I could do until the weather improved. Luckily I have good emergency backup space heaters. Mid Monday morning, I made several calls to companies that were coming up as recommendations on Angi and Thumbtack site but NOT one wanted to travel on the (now thawed) roads or just didn't pick up. I left messages and no one was returning my calls. Then during the News at noon, I saw an advertisement for Preferred. I immediately called them, and in less time as promised - just a little over an hour later - I received a text and then Scott, the technician from Preferred Home Services arrived seconds later. He accessed the problem and told me the issue that I was already aware of - the parts for this aged unit were discontinued over 5 years earlier. But that didn't stop Scott from making some calls to his office, going back to his shop and returning within the hour with a new motor and brackets to rebuild the blower in the HVAC unit. Everything else, he removed, professionally cleaned in his van, and reinstalled. The heat strips might need to be replaced at a later time but they are only used for aux heating. After Scott turned it back on, it was sounding like an entirely newly installed unit! And definitely stronger air flow but QUIETER. Scott didn't stop there. While testing the completed work, he inspected the whole system and discovered that the "Smart" thermostat had the wrong settings to make this system work better and more efficiently. He said generally the settings weren't wrong - only wrong for this old system. In less than 2 mins he had it reprogrammed. It was immediately noticeable and said that it would eventually save on performance and heating costs! You need a recommendation in the Greenville, SC area? CALL PREFERRED HOME SERVICES!!!!

Had my hot water heater replaced with a new tankless model the same day my old unit failed. My service technician was Noah, he was extremely professional, courteous and efficient having the new unit installed in a few hours.

The techs are amazing and personable. They always maintain a professional attitude and are open to answering questions. However, I still do not understand the company’s repair pricing strategy. They may offer a “warranty”, but they are charging 400% more for tasks than other licensed, certified vendors. As much as I like to do business with this outfit. They really need to revise their rates. Otherwise they’re going to be unable to get business from people who shop around for 10 minutes; which I encourage other customers to do.

Joe was the absolute best. Tried a few things and ended up replacing my faucet which more than doubled my water pressure. He even stayed until 8 on a Friday. Fantastic

I had trouble getting hot water in the tub while the sink was working fine. The Plumber from Preferred Home Services immediately figured out that the problem is the cartridge. He had all the parts and tools needed so he fixed everything in one appointment. He is resourceful, problem-solver, courteous and he respected my home by wearing protective scrubs over his shoes so he doesn’t get things dirty. I like that. I also like the fact that they accommodated my schedule by coming after I finished work, they work until 8 pm!

Matt Love replaced all new parts in the toilet tank which was leaking. He took the time to show and tell any problems with plumbing issues. He was responsive and professional during the scope of the work.

Two days before the snowfall, our downstairs heater stopped working. It had frozen over. Stephen quickly responded and found the problem. It was a part that needed to be shipped, however, as soon as it came in, he was on the way to put it in and have us back up and running. Steven is a tremendous technician and knows the ins and outs of air-conditioning/heat pumps. I could not have asked for a better technician or a better company. These guys rock!

Felix came out the same day- the part had to be ordered but as soon as it came in , he fixed the whole hot water situation!

Sent a service request for our heat not working properly. Nick came out and was great. Thorough explanation of everything that was going on, what was found, and what need to done to correct the issue. He was quick with the repairs and had our heat up and running in no time. Would highly recommend asking for Nick for all you HVAC needs.

Arrived on time, detected problem(s) and presented solutions and options I could take. It was an electrical problem that involved possible panel/system issues. I decided on remedy that solved the immediate issue and replaced breaker that could pose future problem. I took option to delay further panel upgrades. I called this morning to setup an appointment to have a plumber come out for a main line stoppage. I requested a time after 5 pm so I would not loose time at work they worked with my schedule. The Technician Matt Love arrived on time and explained everything to me and he worked with me on pricing and he jumped right in and got the clog free. Great service of hvac unit ordered waranted heating units and installed with no problem wad the installation cost which was $800 . Now I'm no business person but it seems to close to me. I will ask cost before i will pay double for such work.
