On 7/7/26 one of the AC units that Preferred installed in my rental property ~5 years ago stopped working. Preferred was able to get a technician to me the next morning, even though I wasn't currently enrolled in their maintenance plan. Their text/notifications process/system is top notch. Ola the technician was fantastic! Personable, knowledgeable, and very professional - thanks so much Ola! I think some people feel like the post-service reports that Preferred provides is some sales tactic to get you to buy more stuff/services from them. I don't feel that way in the least - I think they are doing right by providing (unknowing) homeowners like me with all of the options on how to best maintain their systems; along with honest feedback on the cost-benefit analysis of doing the repairs. I'm now enrolled in their maintenance program and am convinced it is a MUST for most every homeowner, especially rental property owners/landlords. I hope to have Ola back in the coming weeks to complete a few of the additional repairs her recommended.

The Technician (Harell) was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He clearly explained to me the issue and the steps he took to fix it. He notified me of other issues that may arise and took the time to listen to (and answer) all my oddball questions. Thanks again Harell!

This is the second time I’ve called Preferred Home Services, and because trust is SO important in this line of service, I requested Matt S. to come back for this new job.

I loved that dispatch was straightforward with me, that they would do their best to send Matt again, but that if he would not be available in a reasonable amount of time that they might send somebody else out.

I got lucky and Matt was available. I needed to replace a worn out shower fixture cartridge.

My favorite thing about having Matt work on my house, is he is really amazing at fully explaining what he does and why he does it.

Trust is exactly what I can count on with Matt. Honesty and integrity. The pricing was reasonable and fair, and I am just glad that I don’t need to go to plumbing school myself to fix things in my house. Also, this particular repair came with a 2-year warranty, which is totally worth what I need out of it.

At some point I’ll be remodeling the entire bathroom, and I will be trying to ask for Matt when I need help. Plumbing is not something that I want to play around with if I don’t know what I’m doing.

I will constantly be recommending Matt and Preferred Home Services to friends and family and businesses. Thanks again so much Matt S!

Today we had Ola come out to consult on HVAC issues we were experience in our new house. I have never had a contractor come into my home who was as professional, kind, or who ensured that the client was adequately informed and educated on the issues at hand. I now have an actual understanding of the way my system is supposed to work and how. This has made me more confident in making financial decisions to improve my home. I’m super impressed and grateful for Ola, who represents his company with distinction.

Our air conditioner broke about 3 weeks ago. We were to busy to get it fixed right away. We put a shout out on Angie's list and they were the first ones that called. Everyone from the initial evaluation, project manager, and installers were so nice and pleasant. Will definitely be using them for other needs as they arise.

Chris Crawford was our technician today and he went above and beyond for us.

We're new Preferred Home Services Customers, but we'll be regulars for a long time. We had an 18 year-old HVAC unit in a downtown condo we'd recently purchased. Of course it decides to fail on the Friday before a long holiday weekend. PHS had a tech out to assess within hours, and we had a new crew arrive 1st thing Monday AM to replace the entire unit (Inside blower + outside condenser). Every member of the PHS team was thoroughly professional and I'm very glad I reached out to them first. Highly recommend!

Preferred Home Services is the BEST I know!!!

I’ve had these folks out for 3 separate services in the last 8 months: once for plumbing (sink install) and twice for HVAC repair (I have 2 units). I have been happy with their attentiveness and service. I especially appreciate the text w photo of the technician that will be arriving.

We called about our air conditioner. They gave us an appointment for the next day. Ben came, repaired, spoke about the unit. We couldn't have asked for a more conscientious or knowledgeable individual. Very impressed with Ben's courteous manner.

My HVAC stopped cooling yesterday. I called Preferred this morning. Justin was dispatched to me once he finished with another client. He was able to fix multiple issues with my system and identified items that will need to be addressed in the future. Problem was diagnosed, all options explained very clearly and he fixed our AC within about an hour. He was very personable and professional and I was very impressed with his service, as well as the service of the company in general. Highly recommend!!

We have a home warranty covering most repairs. We called them about a clogged toilet. After a couple hours, they said a plumber could come in three days. We cancelled the request and called Preferred. Preferred came the next morning, a Saturday.

I have been a Preferred customer for nearly 5 years. I have been continually impressed by the company and their technicians. Overall, the company has shown themselves to be professional, trustworthy, and kind. They are responsive for appointments and flexible with unforeseen cancellations. I wrote the company today about an issue from my last visit and Shannon called me within (literally) 5 minutes. She thanked me for taking her call, thanked me for helping them become a better company, and was generous with my request. These people are legit and they are doing things the right way!

The breaker on my hot water heater kept tripping. John Chrysostom came out and diagnosed the problem. He was friendly, efficient and offered transparent pricing. He also answered questions I had about other electrical items in my house. I highly recommend John and this company.

I had a new water heater put in today and I'm so thankful that Mathew Sanders was my technician. He checked the water heater, tried to repair it and explained all my options and costs. No pressure in making a decision. I decided to have the old water heater replaced and Mathew took care of the removal of the old one, getting a new one, installation and making sure it produced hot water before leaving. He was very knowledgeable and efficient, gave me several options, explained how the water heater works and made sure the heater worked before cleaning up and leaving. I highly recommend Mathew for your plumbing Preferred Home Service needs!

Danny came out to fix my A/C. It was late but he came anyway and fit me in his schedule which I really appreciated, since it's super hot outside. He vacuumed the drain pipes, cleared the clog and made sure everything worked correctly before he left. Now I'll finally have a good, cool night! 😎

William came out and was very thorough and took the time to try and troubleshoot the tankless water heater problem. He offered several suggestions and followed up with a couple of solutions.

Noah and Cameron came out this afternoon in a monsoon and quickly addressed my leaky outdoor faucet with two solutions, then gave my tankless water heater a checkup. All work was completed efficiently and for a reasonable price. I love this company and will always call them for HVAC, plumbing and electrical needs. In fact, they will back on Wednesday for the HVAC tune-up.

I canceled the visit too late and the tech showed up and Shawn Bogar was very polite and understanding. Unfortunately another tech from a different company had just quoted the price I was looking for.

The tech was quick and efficient. I have no negative comments for this electric repair visit. Thank you

I was with another company for several years but was not happy with their winter AC job (forgetting to put parts back) and their Thanksgiving 2025 inside/outside plumbing redo & repair and decided since my parents loved Preferred Home Services, I would give them a call.
They were able to schedule my diagnostic for the same day which was extremely helpful.
Will did an awesome job, probably the best communications I have had with any company that I have worked with over the past two and a half decades.

I highly recommend calling and using Preferred Home Services for your AC needs and I am betting they are exceptional with plumbing, electrical and drain services too.

RYAN was fantastic. He worked very hard on my HVAC and was very professional.

We called Preferred Home Solutions after we came back from vacation with our a/c not working. They sent out Benjamin. My husband told him everything we tried and he went from there. He had the a/c unit up and running with in 30-45 mins replacing a small part. He was friendly, kind, and efficient. Kyle was excellent explaining in layman's terms the work that was proposed and how it would be accomplished. Work was promised and delivered within estimated time frame. Kyle worked efficiently and had a true feeling for perspective of the homeowner. Highly recommend Preferred and Kyle...we are switching companies for Electric, HVAC and Plumbing.

Where do I start? I received exemplary service from Preferred upon contacting them to come to my home. Everything from the first call I made to the awesome sales man Thomas they called out to provide me with a quote. Thomas was full of knowledge, answered all my questions and I did not feel pressured in any way as some men do upon coming out to quote females. He left us with a couple of good laughs, great service with a smile! If we ever have to contact you all again-hopefully not soon but if we do we would absolutely recommend Preferred Services and ask for Thomas! Thank you guys for handling our problems with our hvac unit. You can really tell Preferred takes the time to build a grand team between their sales, leadership and install crews!

We had two toilets plugged at the same time. While I got one to flow again the other not the same story. I called preferred and the showed up the same day and fixed the clog quickly and for a reasonable price.

They arrived this morning and were able to complete by end of the day. We were very pleased with the team and the process.

Easy to make the appointment, confirmation reminder, they let me know when the technician was on his way, and also sent me an email with my technician’s name and photo! My experience with Preferred has been one of the best experiences I have had with a company. My plumbing story: I came home from work and saw a wet spot on my rug. Slight panic. Then I pulled back the rug and realized that water was coming up between my floor tiles. Now its time to panic. After speaking with FOUR different companies, Preferred stood out in so many ways. It started when I meet Maddy and she took a tour of my house. She made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns, and was transparent with me during the entire process. She ended up giving SEVEN different options. She heard me when I said I was on a budget but was also thinking about my house long term. She identified that I had leaking pipes in my concrete slab. Panicking again! But she made me feel at ease. In addition to the replacement of the pipes, I needed to replace my garbage disposal and hot water tank. Maddy let me know about upcoming changes in regulations to water tanks and thankfully steered me towards one that would meet those requirements. She listened to me when I said I didn't want the cheapest garbage disposal and worked so hard to come up with affordable options for me. I knew before she walked out that Preferred was the company to go with. The very next day, Maddy and her team where ready to start working. Chris, Brian, and Porter showed up ready to work! Porter was a hero being outside in the heat digging until my pipes were found. Chris and Brian tore up my house in the best possible way to get the job almost complete in ONE DAY! And this was not because they were rushing. It's because they are all knowledgeable, hard workers, and professionals at their job. When the job was completed, the next day, Chris walked me through the whole house and Brian showed me what is quite possibly the coolest water heater I have ever seen. And Porter put my front yard back together when it was all done. For the price, the service is some of the best I have gotten. I love them so much, I signed up for their yearly maintenance plan which includes two AC check ups, and plumbing and electric checks yearly. I am glad that out of a bad situation I was able to find them. Thanks to Maddy, Chris, Brian, and Porter ** They also love teachers!
