Had a wonderful experience working with Jacob Carlton yesterday and today. I experienced a catastrophic water heater failure and Preferred Home Services came right away. Jacob was our technician and immediately addressed the situation. He provided several replacement and pricing options. When I asked Jacob about his experiences working with Preferred, he told me he had never been happier with an employer. Super job and will be certain to use their services again in the future.

Adam was an amazing technician. He was polite, friendly and efficient. He arrived in a timely manner and explained everything when the job was completed.

No one ever calls these guys because we want too, and we for-sure don’t like spending the extra money unless it involves improving the home, unless I don’t anyway…but Chris was transparent and reasonably priced and the problem was identified. Preferred Home Services is the absolute best. During my initial call the representative was so helpful in getting me scheduled at a time that was convenient for my family. Once the Technician arrived he greeted me very well and was very professional the entire intervention. My HVAC was diagnosed very thoroughly for not only the issue l noticed but for future problems that may occur. He did an absolutely amazing job on providing me detailed information with different quotes and invoices to prepare a more flexible financial situation. He was also knowledgeable with any questions that I had. After the visit I got a follow up call to verify if l needed any additional assistance or any other questions. What a great experience!!! I did a bunch of research on things that could be causing what I thought was my air unit to have a weird smell. I used google and all the positive reviews on it caused me to message Preferred! They responded back within 24 hours and assured me they would be able to come out and take a look. Once they got here they immediately knew it was something else. They still checked what I thought was the issue but when they ruled that out they got to work and had a plumber arrive within the hour. They took photos of all the issues and explained how they could fix it. Currently writing this a week later and super satisfied with the work they did and the timeliness! Highly recommended and also my issue was that my drain line disconnected from the septic tank and was leaking under the house.

The tech was GREAT! He did a great job explained everything. However my service was plumbing not HVAC.

Very professional. Was able to show up quickly, troubleshoot the issue with my leaking water heater (which was actually a leaking pipe inside of the wall!) gave a really good explanation of what needed to be fixed, and got the job done same day. Thanks Matthew!

Garrett came today for regular servicing of my HVAC units. Preferred is always meticulous with service calls, but Garrett seemed to go above and beyond. He diagnosed several issues and felt clear and honest in his assessment of whether they were immediate problems or things to consider for the future. He was neat and very pleasant. And he put up with very good grace having a 10-month kitten curiously "help" him at most steps in the process. Preferred never disappoints.

PreferredHome Services was recommended to us by a family member that had been well pleased with their service. We also found this to be the case. Matt came to address a plumbing issue and while he was here he noticed a few other things. One was our dated hot water heater. He explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions. Not only did he fix what he came for but he saved us from losing hot water in very cold weather before it actually happened! He was professional, courtesy and punctual. We would definitely call them in the future.

As part of my monthly contract I receive a plumbing inspection for free. Great guy named Joe Nauman came out and after his inspection was very clear on the “pressing items”: (I have an active leak that is eating away at one of the beams that holds up my house) and the “items that can be deferred.” I really appreciated his clarity and his candor. Preferred is a very solid provider of all home services. They are a little more expensive than others but that is my only complaint.

Super efficiency..very professional and great on time delivery. Chris gave great recommendations about what I might need down the road. He also did a water heater flush. Explain every detail to my understanding. Highly recommended.Thanks

My 19-year-old system was limping along badly. Costing a lot every month (but not at the level I've seen some people complain about). It was time to bite the bullet and get a new one. Had the inspection on Monday, new system installed Tuesday--Sha-ZAM! I worked so my wife was home for the two gentlemen. Good job, thorough cleanup...even my dog, who doesn't take well to strange people, was happy to have them pet her.

I have an electrical issue in my house Joey came in with his coworker replaced one bad GFI outlet and checked the breaker panel and found out that the power is not coming into my House equally. Checked the meter and found issues with the service coming into my house. Recommended that I call Berkeley electric to get them to come out and fix the meter and get that squared away. Will use this company again When needed

Preferred home services replaced both air conditioning units and redone all the duct work under my house. They were able to do the installation the following day after I accepted the quote! Ethan, Scott, Marcus, Q and Robert's team did an excellent job! They worked until 8:00 p.m. to finish the job and thoroughly explained how all my equipment worked. I would highly recommend you giving Rob a call if you need your air condition replaced.

Dan was punctual and provided exceptional professional and outstanding customer services. He explained the repairs in a easy understandable way.

I called on a Saturday, and they had someone come out the very next day. Jacob was our tech and he was incredibly thorough, explained everything, worked quickly, and cleaned up after. Preferred’s pricing was fair and their customer service and techs are great. A brand new water heater wasn’t necessarily on my list for this weekend, but they made it as painless as possible. I would recommend them any day.

You CALL THEM when you need the job done right, done efficiently, and done professionally. They show up when they say they will, you get a text with a picture and info about who's showing up. They are respectful of your home putting on shoe covers, every time. They explain thoroughly everything they see and what they are going to do. Plus, they don't make you feel bad when you ask a lot of questions or when you ask for them to explain things further. Furthermore, they put a guarantee on their work! Nick Baldini has come out to our home for 2 separate issues and he is Outstanding!!! Hawk came out aswell to assist on one of them I can't be more pleased with both of them. Ask for these guys, you won't be disappointed!

In addition to that, he provided me with a full range of services offered by Preferred Home Services. He also verified the pressure on my waterline and informed me that the regulator needed to be replaced. He provided me with a number of options, all of which I was grateful for. Should we choose to work with Preferred Home Services, I would welcome having Austin be the technician to do the work.

I've been a customer for a few years after bouncing around other providers. They consistently provide quality and professional experiences and I feel they genuinely have my best interest in mind. After a number of years avoiding the inevitable, we finally came to the point of needing a full unit replacement.

The installation process was seamless and clean, with overly tidy touches and thoughtfulness from the installation team such as rodent prevention guards that could have easily been overlooked. New system is operating as expected and I trust Preferred to maintain the system for years to come.

This is the 2nd time LB has come out to help diagnose/repair problems with our HVAC system. He’s knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. Each time he has offered a fair assessment of the problem and straight forward estimates for repair.

CHRIS HARBIT was an absolute GODSEND!! We’ve had a water leak for about 4 months I would say. We’ve had at least 5 people come out to assess it and told us it was a slab leak which would have cost us at minimum $8000. Chris came out and listened to our concerns and actually assessed the situation and found a leak in the INSIDE!!! This man fixed one leak and found another and this second one gave him some challenge but he never gave up and finally found a solution and it was fixed!!! I can’t tell you how relived and so full of gratitude I am. Thank you thank you so so much!!!

My garbage disposal wasn’t working. Nick came by and figured out the problem very quickly and fixed it for us. Very friendly and fast service!

Follow up repair for low-voltage fuse that kept blowing. The technician (Ola Tackett) tracked down the short that was causing it and fixed it.

Same day outstanding service of a tankless water heater

Jonathan was amazing. He went above and beyond to help me understand what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the issue. The price was acceptable, he was quick and kind.

Victor was very thorough with my plumbing inspection on 2/11/26. After reviewing his suggestions I replaced the rubber hoses on my washer and added a pressure regulating valve to keep my water pressure within a safe range. This was completed on 2/17 in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend Victor for plumbing needs.

Our Preferred Home Services Technician Nick did an outstanding job handling our plumbing issue! He was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and effective. His passion for his work was clear and his rates were very reasonable. Nick also went above and beyond, helping us find a clean out outside after the primary job inside was complete. We'll be asking for him the next time we have an issue!
